We are pleased to announce that PORĘBA, a renowned machine tools manufacturer with over 200 years of tradition, has been given a chance to make a return to global markets after it had joined the family of the Polish heavy-duty machine tool factory, the RAFAMET Group.

The PORĘBA trademark, recognized and valued by customers from around the world, along with the rights to design documentation and therefore the rights to manufacture PORĘBA machine tools have been acquired by RAFAMET S.A. on the 21st of January 2016 and are now owned exclusively by our company.

The RAFAMET S.A. Machine Tool Factory acquired by tender the design documentation of FUM “Poręba” Ltd., as well as the trademark “Poręba 1798.” Longin Wons, the RAFAMET Chairman of the Board, explains how will this affect the Company’s future and its new business strategy.

The question in the title can be posed after the publication of the RAFAMET S.A. current report no 22/2015 from the 17th of December 2015, which informs that RAFAMET S.A. became the sole owner of the design documentation (with related copyrights) of the machine tools manufactured in FUM “Poręba” until the 29th of May 2015 and the trademark “Poręba 1798.” Wons promises that RAFAMET will not change its name and assures that this acquisition is of great significance to the Company.
